Guardian’s Mesh Pet Fence
Guardian has spent over five years developing our specialized reinforced mesh pet fence system that can withstand the scratching and jumping from a variety of pets. Our 100% polyvinyl-coated polyester mesh pet fence is characterized by an 11×16 strands per square inch weave, which minimizes hole size and makes clawing and stretching difficult for pets. This “Pet Mesh” is also transparent, UV resistant, and wind permeable.
The Quest For “Pet Mesh”
Removable mesh pool fencing is so convenient that people all over the U.S. wanted to use our mesh pet fence system as a permanent or temporary solution to fence their pets. We informed our customers that our pool fence mesh is not intended to withstand animal clawing and jumping but customers insisted on using the pool fence in this way despite our warnings. Some customers would report back to us in months, some in days, that their pets (usually dogs) had shredded the pool fence beyond function. Here at Guardian, we like challenges, and the demand for a durable “pet mesh” fueled our determination to find a mesh able to endure relentless animal torment.
At a fabric trade show in 2002, we came across a mesh that appeared promising. We tested it at a local kennel and it returned great results. This material was used in our early pet fences and proved effective against most pets. But to our dismay, there was still a percentage of animals that outmatched this fence so our search for stronger mesh continued.
In 2005 a manufacturer approached us with a video of a mesh material tolerating large and aggressive dogs. We had to try it out for ourselves but found it was not as resistant as we’d hoped. There was something unique about the stitching, however, which led us to re-engineer how we reinforce our mesh and is why Guardian currently has the best mesh pet fence on the market.
Pet Fence Poles
Guardian’s Premier Pole is the strongest removable mesh fence pole in the industry which is why we use it with all of our pet fences today. Whether your pet is 15 lbs or 150 lbs, our Premier Pole with stainless steel pins will withstand the weight from their jumping and leaning.

Our pet fence gates are self-closing and self-latching
Every Guardian Fence System comes with the option to install our patented climb-resistant, self-closing, self-latching, key-lockable mesh gate. We use the best materials and hardware on the market to bring you the highest quality pool gate in the industry.
Climb-Resistant: Guardian has engineered the only gate with NO CROSSBAR. Not having a crossbar significantly decreases the likelihood of a pet climbing over our gate because there is no place for them to gain leverage from. Instead of a crossbar, we designed our gate with trusses on each side to control gate tension. Our gate trusses are made from 6061 marine grade aluminum and can be powder coated in the same colors as our pool fence.
Self-Closing: Tru-Close hinges have long been the most reliable self-closing gate hinges on the market which is why we use them with every Guardian Gate. These hinges are tough, molded with a stainless steel torsion spring, and coated with UV-Stabilized materials to provide you with hinges that won’t bind, sag, or stain. They are also easy to adjust, requiring only a screwdriver, and come with a 100% Rust-Free For Life guarantee.
Self-Latching: MagnaLatch Safety Gate Latches were specifically designed for securing gates around swimming pools, yards, and child care centers. Combined with the self-closing Tru-Close hinges, the latches will magnetically latch itself shut. This latch is also key-lockable and comes with a limited lifetime warranty. MagnaLatch is the original and is still the world’s best selling magnetic latches on the market.

All of Guardian’s trusses can be powder coated in the same colors as our pet fence.

Our optional gate system is self-closing, self-latching, and is key-lockable to ensure your pets remain in their designated area. High-grade aluminum and strength tested mesh provide the highest levels of security with even the toughest pets.

Poles
Our Premier Fence Poles are constructed using Marine Grade 6063 T6 aluminum poles, reinforced with PVC, and secured to a ½” diameter chambered stainless steel rod at its base that supports the fulcrum.
Pole Spacing
Our standard pole spacing is distanced at 36″. Custom lengths are available. Pricing will vary.
Screws & Bolts
All Guardian screws and eye bolts are made from 304 stainless steel. We will coat both with a Teflon-like finish to match the color of your selected poles unless desired otherwise. Unlike paint, our finish will not peel.
Sleeves
Our sleeves are made from a non-conductive high-density polyethylene (HDPE).
Heights
4 foot, 4 ½ foot or 5-foot heights. Custom heights are available. Pricing will vary. *The minimum height recommended by the U.S.C.P.S.C. is 4 feet.

Hooks And Eyes
All Guardian Pool Fence Systems hooks and eyes are made from 304 stainless steel. BLACK TEFLON coated stainless steel hooks & eyes are used with dark-colored poles and stainless steel finished hooks and eyes are used for light-colored poles. We coat the hooks and eyes strictly for aesthetic reasons. Our Teflon color coat will not peel.
Padlocks
Our padlocks are made of solid brass with a solid brass shackle. To prevent unauthorized removal of the fence, padlocks can be used to lock adjoining fence panels, requiring a key for fence removal. The average pool fence needs between 10 and 15 padlocks.
