Bird Cages & Aviaries
Galvanised welded wire square mesh is an ideal solution for aviaries and bird cages. The benefit of using a welded square mesh is the range of wire thicknesses available, roll thickness or mesh panels sizes. Canaries, finches and budgie cages can use our 13x13mm (1/2"x1/2") welded wire mesh aperture products. For large birds and parrot aviaries our 25x25mm (1"x1") welded wire mesh is more suitable. When considering a new bird cage/aviary we recommend the aviary mesh be installed on the internal side of the cages frame, posts or structure. The external frame can be "doubled-up" or covered with a rodent-proof mesh which will protect rodents entering the cage and causing damage or disease.

We stock a range of wire thicknesses from 1mm, 1.6mm2mm and 2.5mm diameter wire. Welded wire mesh is manufactured from a thick gauge steel wires that are welded at the intersection to create a very strong square mesh aperture. The mesh is then galvanised but hot-sipping in zinc to protect the steel from rust and corrosion. Aviary mesh can be supplied on mesh rolls or as welded wire mesh panels. Welded wire mesh rolls generally are lighter weight meshes with wire gauges ranging from 19g to 12g (1mm to 2mm). Galvanised weld mesh panels are available in 12, 10 & 8 gauge wire thicknesses (2.5mm, 3mm & 4mm). Weld mesh panels are available in various panel (flat sheet) sizes from 6ft x 3ft (1.8m x 0.9m) up to 8ft x 4ft (2.44m x 1.22m). Mesh sheets are more rigid than rolls and should be used where large birds or a more robust aviary is required.
As bird cages and aviaries are all sorts of sizes, we offer a large range of potential steel mesh solutions. Ultimate One ltd supply galvanised welded wire mesh rolls and welded wire mesh panels.
