Pipe and Tube
Pipe and Tube make up the framework for the Chain Link fence system. ASTM specifications, wall thickness, and outside diameter (O.D.) sizes determine a framework’s strength. Pipe and tube can be galvanized or color coated.
Different manufacturing processes:
• Spectra Polyester (color)
• Heavy Mil (color)
Hot-Dip galvanized pipe is formed before being galvanized and coated with chromate inside and out for protection against corrosion and white rust.
Meets or exceeds ASTM F 1083 and ASTM F 1043.
Pre-Galvanized pipe is made from hot-dip galvanized flat roll that is then formed and welded. It is treated with Conversion Coating inhibiting white rust and with a clear exterior seal coating.
Pre-Galv meets or exceeds ASTM F 1043 – 6 Standard Specification for Strength.
Pre-Galv also meets or exceeds ASTM F 1043 – 10 Type B, 0.9oz Zinc Coating.
Flo-Coat Galvanized is high yield, high tensile cold formed steel that is molded and welded and then given a uniform hot-dip zinc coating. On top of the hot-dip coating, there is added first a Conversion Coating and above that, a Clear Organic Coating.
Flo-Coat meets or exceeds ASTM F 1043, Group IC.
Spectra Polyester (color)
Spectra Polyester has an 11 stage pre-treatment and coating process. It is corrosion resistant and UV resistant.
Spectra Polyester meets or exceeds ASTM F 668 and ASTM F 1043 3-5 Mils.
Heavy Mil (Color)
Heavy Mil is coated in Poly Vinyl Chloride powder and has an 8 stage
pre-treatment and coating process. It is corrosion resistant and UV resistant. Heavy Mil pipe meets or exceeds ASTM F 668 and F 1043 Type A 12-15 Mils. Heavy Mil Domestic Schedule 40 and Heavy Mil Flo Coat and Pre-Galv are both USA Certified.
