I have 1 year old cat. Need gate high enough and with openings small enough so cat won't jump over it or crawl through grate or rods. Want to leave a solid door to bedroom open where cat is with gate in place so she can see me in hallway. How does this 32" high gate work for cats?

This gate measures 32 inches high. It will work for some cats however, some cats are able to jump quite high, so it would depend on the ability and determination of the cat.
what are the dimensions of the mesh openings

The mesh spaces on each side of the gate are 1 1/4 inches wide and all other mesh holes are 1 1/2 inches wide. Each mesh hole is 2 inches high.
Could I stack two of these gates vertically if my cat is able to jump over the first gate?

This gate is not currently designed to be stacked.
Can you use two of the theses gates together? I have a space 60 inches that I need to close off. Did not know if they would be stable enough together and hold. Thanks

Great looking but didn't work

My senior lady is suffering from spinal pain and needs to be set up in a safe space to seriously limit any jumping or slipping. The notches on this gate that ensure the correct amount of pressure is applied to keep it in place were not effective relative to the size of my door frame, that is, the lower setting was too slack and the gate toppled over, OR it was too tight and could not be closed. I do not recommend ordering this product.

Expandable per gate

This gate really doesn’t function well at all and very fragil wood difficult to expand. Felt like I may break it trying ti set up which I never achieved.

Wire mesh gate for puppy

Very cheap quality. Difficult to open. I have raised dogs for over 40 years and this gate was average cost but extremely cheap quality. Don’t waste your money.

Hard to tighten

This is difficult to work. It is awkward to open wider, as it doesn’t move very smoothly. More importantly, the locking mechanism has set positions, and if these do not match up to your opening it is hard to get it tight. My 30 pound puppy easily knocks it loose.

Very very difficult to open and close

The height is great and once assembled it stands up well, pushing up against the side walls. BUT... it is terribly difficult to open and close. I can't do it, I have to call my grumpy son to leave his gaming to help me every time I need to open it. I really liked the price and if it was going to stay open all the time, I'd be pleased with it (although pretty cheaply made) but it's just tall enough that climbing over it is a bit cumbersome. It does keep my Aussie out of the room.

Blended Family

I got this gate about six months ago when we moved to a new home and my kitty was forced to coexist with my mother’s Boxer (who does not like cats). It’s not expensive and seemed a bit flimsy when it came but it has held up well and done the job admirably. It’s really easy to set up and take down. Fits perfectly right where I want it and keeps them apart when they are occupying the same space without completely isolating the cat. The only problem is that it can’t be used on a wall with baseboard otherwise it’s perfect without a big price.

Gate for pets

Good quality material but awkward to work with slots. I had to make very crude adjustments to make it workable
